Sharing "Asia's New Era of Web3" at the Press Conference
At the press conference for the establishment of the Hong Kong-Korea Web3 Policy Promotion Alliance and the GWDC Seoul stop, Justin Sun, founder of TRON and global advisor to HTX, delivered a keynote speech titled "Asia's New Era of Web3: Perfecting the Regulatory System, Empowering Infrastructure, and Deepening International Collaboration," sharing the development trends and practical experiences of Web3 in Asia.
Justin Sun pointed out:
l Regulatory Clarity Accelerates Innovation Implementation: Global Web3 regulation is shifting from "exploration and design" to "implementation and rollout," showing an unprecedented trend towards clarity and convergence. Regulatory certainty reduces compliance costs, attracts traditional financial institutions to enter the field, and allows entrepreneurs to focus on innovation. Justin Sun emphasized that regulation needs to balance security and innovation, establishing channels for positive interaction.
l TRON, as a Web3 Innovation Achievement, Promotes Web3 Implementation and AI Innovation: Since its establishment in 2017, TRON has become a leading global blockchain infrastructure: with over 370 million accounts, a daily average on-chain transfer volume of $20-30 billion, and supporting cross-border payments, DeFi, and daily financial activities for users worldwide. TRON accelerates the implementation of the Web3 ecosystem in South Korea, Hong Kong China, Singapore, and other regions by funding high-quality projects and promoting the integration of AI and blockchain (such as AINFT). Recently, TRON joined the Agentic AI Council as a Gold Member, collaborating with tech and financial giants like OpenAI, Anthropic, Circle, and JPMorgan Chase to build a global AI ecosystem, already preparing for the next wave of machine-driven digital payments.
l Cross-national Collaboration Ensures Balanced and Secure Regulation: Web3 is borderless, and single-jurisdiction regulation can easily lead to fragmentation risks. Through alliance mechanisms, legislators can share best practices, coordinate stablecoin and custody standards, while incorporating industry frontline perspectives to achieve a balance between security and innovation. Since 2024, TRON, through the T3 Financial Crime Task Force established in collaboration with Tether and TRM Labs, has frozen over $300 million in funds involved in illicit activities globally, accumulating experience in security and compliance.
Justin Sun stated that the future of Web3 belongs to pioneers who dare to collaborate and strive for balance. The establishment of the Hong Kong-Korea Policy Promotion Alliance marks the starting point for advancing the Asia-Pacific and global Web3 ecosystem towards a safer, more transparent, and more prosperous new stage, and TRON will continue to contribute.
