Justin Sun shares "The New Era of Web3 in Asia" at the establishment of the Hong Kong–South Korea Web3 Policy Promotion Alliance and the launch of the 2026 GWDC Korea Station.
Techub News reported that at the establishment ceremony of the Hong Kong–South Korea Web3 Policy Promotion Alliance and the GWDC Seoul Station launch event, Justin Sun, Founder of TRON and Global Advisor to HTX, delivered a keynote speech titled "The New Era of Web3 in Asia: Perfecting the Regulatory System, Empowering Infrastructure, and Deepening International Collaboration," sharing insights on the development trends and practical experiences of Web3 in Asia.
Justin Sun pointed out that regulatory clarity accelerates the implementation of innovation. Global Web3 regulation is transitioning from "exploration and design" to "implementation and execution," showing an unprecedented trend towards clarity and convergence. Regulatory certainty reduces compliance costs, attracts traditional financial institutions to enter the field, and allows entrepreneurs to focus on innovation. Justin Sun emphasized that regulation needs to balance security and innovation, establishing channels for positive interaction.
As an innovative achievement in Web3, TRON promotes the implementation of Web3 and AI innovation. Since its establishment in 2017, TRON has become a leading global blockchain infrastructure, boasting over 370 million accounts, a daily on-chain transaction volume of $20–30 billion, and supporting cross-border payments, DeFi, and daily financial activities for users worldwide. TRON accelerates the implementation of the Web3 ecosystem in regions such as South Korea, Hong Kong China, and Singapore by funding high-quality projects and promoting the integration of AI and blockchain (e.g., AINFT). Recently, TRON joined the Agentic AI Council as a Gold Member, collaborating with technology and financial giants like OpenAI, Anthropic, Circle, and JPMorgan to build a global AI ecosystem, preparing for the next wave of machine-driven digital payments.
Justin Sun stated that transnational collaboration ensures balanced and secure regulation. Web3 is borderless, and fragmented regulation can easily lead to risks. Through alliance mechanisms, legislators can share best practices, coordinate stablecoin and custody standards, and incorporate industry insights to achieve a balance between security and innovation. Since 2024, TRON, through the T3 Financial Crime Task Force in collaboration with Tether and TRM Labs, has frozen over $300 million in illicit funds globally, accumulating experience in security and compliance.
Justin Sun expressed that the future of Web3 belongs to pioneers who dare to collaborate and strive for balance. The establishment of the Hong Kong–South Korea Policy Promotion Alliance marks the beginning of a new phase towards a safer, more transparent, and more prosperous Web3 ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region and globally, and TRON will continue to contribute to this endeavor.
