It is indeed intriguing that $HYPE managed to chart an independent strong bullish candle while mainstream assets collectively remained stagnant. Many are asking why the Perp DEX sector has been quiet lately. In fact, Hyperliquid's performance has already provided the answer:
1) The narrative ceiling has changed. The old story of Perp Dex offering a near-CEX-level experience is no longer compelling. It feels like Hyperliquid is moving beyond the internal competition of being a "user-friendly DEX" and is breaking through into the full-category synthetic asset space via the HIP-3 protocol.
It's shifting from the positioning of a user-friendly DEX aiming to replace CEXs to a narrative of becoming the most crypto-native Nasdaq on-chain. The shift is from pure Crypto speculation to seamless trading of crude oil, forex, precious metals, etc., directly elevating the vision to the maximum;
2) The "reverse flow" of on-chain liquidity into real-world assets. Just look at how exchanges like Bitget, OKX, Bybit are all building platforms and pushing the "asset tokenization" narrative direction to know that the growth bottleneck for pure Crypto assets is already apparent.
Don't doubt it. When you find that the spread for trading silver on-chain is narrower than on CEXs, the response is faster than brokers, and it operates 24/7 without closing, it ceases to be just a DEX and transforms into a round-the-clock global asset routing hub. This is actually an inevitable trend of on-chain liquidity starting to reverse-flow into the real world. Whoever takes up this banner first will be the winner;
3) Dimensional reduction attack at the rule level. In the past, Perp DEXs were humbly imitating and trying to approximate the CEX experience, but Hyperliquid has clearly elevated the game. The new rule logic includes: absolute on-chain transparency, permissionless listing, fee rebate mechanisms, and other emerging market rules for trading venues.
Ultimately, it's about using code-based trust to dismantle the black-box advantages of CEXs and TradFi. Interestingly, decentralization isn't even mentioned.
