Bitmine holds 5.18 million ETH, accounting for
4.29% of the total supply. This magnitude no longer belongs to the category of "position disclosure," but rather has a substantive impact on the supply structure itself. When a single entity approaches the 5% holding threshold, the liquidity characteristics of the asset begin to exhibit directional shifts.
The supply function is shifting from "total supply pricing" to "circulating supply pricing." In Bitmine's holdings, approximately 4.36 million ETH are locked in the staking system, transforming liquidity that was originally expected to enter the secondary market into long-term yield-bearing positions. The effective supply in the market is no longer equivalent to the total supply, but depends on the scale of marginal tradable tokens. Under this framework, the sensitivity of price to new demand exhibits a nonlinear increase, and supply contraction itself has become a source of price elasticity.
The restructuring of holding behavior by staking yields further compresses circulation space. An annualized return of approximately
2.9% turns ETH from a single price-gaming asset into an allocation tool with cash flow attributes. When yields can cover part of the volatility costs, holders' motivation to trade naturally declines, and supply release shifts from passive selling to active deferral. The market thus enters a state of coexisting low liquidity and high elasticity.
The infrastructuralization of assets is creating a longer-term anchor for liquidity. MAVAN, as an institutional-grade validation network, enables large-scale holdings to no longer be isolated asset allocation actions, but instead embedded into the on-chain service system. Holdings, validation, and yield logic form a closed loop, and ETH gradually transforms from a trading target into the collateral foundation of on-chain finance, with its liquidity no longer fully determined by market will.
Under conditions of structurally locked supply, the power to determine price is shifting towards the marginal demand side. However, this shift is not unidirectional. When demand fails to expand simultaneously, supply contraction does not lead to a trending upward movement, but rather amplifies volatility elasticity.
The current pricing of ETH is no longer a simple match of supply and demand, but a dynamic game between the circulation structure and demand intensity.
