Techub News reports, according to Decrypt, U.S. Pacific Fleet Commander Samuel Paparo stated that the U.S. government is currently operating Bitcoin nodes for conducting cybersecurity-related operational tests, but emphasized that it is not engaged in Bitcoin mining. He indicated that the military views Bitcoin as a cryptographic tool and a reusable proof-of-work mechanism, serving as an additional means to protect networks.

Paparo noted that the U.S. military is currently in the experimental phase of Bitcoin application, focusing more on its computer science value rather than its financial asset attributes. Furthermore, he mentioned support for stablecoin legislation such as the "GENIUS Act," believing it helps maintain the U.S. dollar's dominant position globally, which aligns with U.S. military interests.
