Democratic Senator Writes to Treasury Secretary, Requesting Assessment of Whether to Review UAE Company's Investment in World Liberty Financial

Techub News reported, according to The Block, Democratic senators Elizabeth Warren and Andy Kim sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Besant, requesting an assessment on whether the $500 million investment by a UAE company in World Liberty Financial should be reviewed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. The two senators asked Besant to respond by March 5. Previously, in early February, the U.S. House of Representatives began investigating whether the Trump-linked cryptocurrency firm World Liberty Financial and its dollar-pegged token are connected to a member of the UAE royal family. Representative Ro Khanna demanded the company provide ownership records, payment details, and internal communication records.
