Ethereum developer meeting is scheduled this Thursday to decide whether EIP-8141 will be included in the Hegota upgrade.

Techub News reports that Ethereum core developer ladislaus.eth disclosed that the Ethereum core developers meeting plans to decide this Thursday whether to include EIP-8141 (Frame Transactions) in the Hegota upgrade. This proposal decouples accounts from fixed signature schemes, provides a native migration path for post-quantum secure signature schemes, and makes account abstraction a first-class feature of the protocol, rather than an add-on implemented through entry point contracts. Additionally, frame transactions also support programmable gas payments using ERC-20 tokens. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that this proposal will also make privacy protocols more first-class, and its strength lies in extending the advantages of EVM's general programmability to the verification stage, which previously only supported hardcoded ECDSA signatures.
