Japanese yen stablecoin issuer JPYC has completed an additional 2.8 billion yen Series B financing round, with participation from Metaplanet and others.

Techub News reports that JPYC, the issuer of the Japanese yen stablecoin JPYC, has announced the completion of a 2.8 billion yen (approximately $17.62 million) Series B extension round. Participants in this round include Metaplanet, NCB Venture Capital, TechMira Holdings, Canal Ventures, SUMISEI INNOVATION FUND, i-nest capital, NTVP, Hokuyo Bank, Yokohama Capital, and others. The total cumulative amount raised in the Series B round has reached approximately 4.6 billion yen (about $29.62 million). The funds will be used for system and application development, talent recruitment, stablecoin issuance and settlement operations, as well as strategic investments.
