DTCC Adds Ripple Prime to Tokenization Working Group, Plans Service Launch by October 2026

Techub News, according to an announcement by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the institution has added Ripple Prime to its Tokenization Services Working Group. It plans to collaborate with over 50 financial institutions to develop the service, with a small-scale test scheduled for July 2026 and an official launch in October. The working group also includes traditional financial institutions and DeFi entities such as Bank of America, Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and Circle. DTCC stated that the service will support real-world assets such as stocks, precious metals, and bonds to exist on the blockchain in the form of digital tokens, and will ensure cross-chain interoperability. Ripple Prime is the prime brokerage business established after Ripple acquired Hidden Road.
