Techub News reports, according to La Nación, Argentina's state-owned energy giant YPF is evaluating the option of enabling cryptocurrency payments for gasoline and diesel across its national network of gas stations. Currently, the plan is still in an internal analysis phase, and the company has not yet established a specific implementation timeline.

YPF stated that if the crypto payment model proceeds, related transactions are expected to be completed through third-party cryptocurrency trading platforms as intermediaries. This is because the local crypto market typically prices transactions based on the "crypto dollar (dólar cripto)" rather than the official US dollar exchange rate. Potential partners include local and international platforms such as Lemon, Ripio, and Binance.
