Stellar Foundation Releases Performance Preview, Benchmark Reaches 7.02 Million TPS

Techub News reports that the Stellar Development Foundation has launched a Project Thruput technology preview, improving the blockchain execution engine's handling of competitive transactions. Test data shows that the execution capacity per single validator has increased from about 1.18 million transactions per second on one machine to approximately 7.02 million transactions per second on eight machines. The Stellar Foundation emphasizes that these numbers are from controlled component-level testing and do not represent end-to-end throughput on the public network; when demand exceeds capacity, the project proposes to allocate scheduling shares based on unlocking native token balances per account, rather than charging execution fees per transaction, with computation limits still applying.
