Flow: The Community Governance Committee has recovered the unliquidated counterfeit FLOW in the CEX.

Techub News reports that the Flow Community Governance Committee has recovered the un-liquidated counterfeit FLOW tokens from CEXs. The relevant tokens have now been isolated on-chain and their storage is restricted, pending destruction. The permanent destruction is scheduled for January 30, 2026. Flow also stated that the Foundation has arranged to revoke today the additional access permissions obtained by the Community Governance Committee during the recovery operation. Previously, Flow reported that attackers exploited a network vulnerability to forge tokens and steal approximately $3.9 million via cross-chain bridges, without accessing or compromising any existing user balances. Most of the counterfeit assets were either stored on-chain or frozen by exchange partners before liquidation.
