Techub News, according to U.Today, Hana Financial TI and others have completed a PoC test of a Korean Won stablecoin based on XRP Ledger. The test utilized the XRPL native protocol to implement wallet whitelisting, asset freezing, and other features, meeting the compliance requirements of institutional investors.
This test comes as South Korea prepares for a new phase of digital asset regulation. Currently, South Korea is a major trading market for XRP. The PoC aims to introduce foreign exchange business to the XRP Ledger. If approved by regulators, XRPL could become the digital won infrastructure in South Korea's commercial sector.
