The Ethereum Foundation Deepens Educational Presence in Argentina, University of Buenos Aires Establishes Cryptography and Distributed Systems Research Center

Techub News reported, according to CriptoNoticias, the Ethereum Foundation is deepening its collaboration with Argentine universities. The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) established a Cryptography and Distributed Systems Research Center in early November, a project closely linked to the Ethereum ecosystem. Argentine software development company Lambda Class donated $1 million to the center, with $250,000 already allocated to fund undergraduate, master's, and doctoral scholarships. The research areas span interdisciplinary fields including blockchain, distributed systems, mathematics, computer science, and fintech.

Tomasz Stańczak, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated that the foundation is advancing an educational program covering multiple institutions in Argentina. Starting from 2026, students at the Estación Buenos Aires school in Buenos Aires are expected to obtain blockchain technology certificates certified by the Ethereum Foundation. The curriculum will include content such as Solidity, a smart contract development language.
