Techub News: According to CoinDesk, online trading platform IG Group has acquired a majority stake in Australian cryptocurrency exchange Independent Reserve for AUD 109.6 million (approximately USD 72.4 million). IG Group will initially purchase 70% of the company and has the right to acquire the remaining 30% based on future performance. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in early 2026, with a total value of up to AUD 178 million (approximately USD 117.6 million).
