Techub News, according to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange OKX has launched the AI Payment Protocol (APP), supporting end-to-end commercial transactions for AI agents. The protocol allows agents to query real-time market data and enable pay-per-use automatic settlement via HTTP 402 payment requests, while also supporting the hiring of sub-agents to complete research tasks and releasing funds through escrow accounts upon acceptance.
Developers can use this payment tool on X Layer, with some stablecoin transfers being gas-free. Bernstein previously noted that the development of machine payments helps drive stablecoin usage by enabling programmable conditional payments between software agents, allowing microtransactions to be completed without human intervention.
