Techub News, according to CryptoBriefing, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is building a blockchain-based collateral management platform called Collateral AppChain, integrating Chainlink to achieve 24/7 automated asset pricing and settlement. The platform is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026, serving the global collateral market valued at $15 trillion. The institution announced this initiative on May 12, aiming to replace traditional manual processes with smart contracts to address inefficiencies in cross-timezone collateral transfers. The two parties previously collaborated on the Smart NAV project in 2024, and DTCC currently handles 99% of securities settlement in the United States.
