U.S. House Majority Whip: GENIUS Act Needs CLARITY Act Framework

Techub News reports that Tom Emmer, the Majority Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives, stated that the GENIUS Act requires the regulatory framework of the CLARITY Act. He emphasized that cryptocurrency legislation needs clarity to ensure a balance between innovation and investor protection. Emmer pointed out that the CLARITY Act aims to clarify the jurisdiction of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission over digital assets, while the GENIUS Act focuses on promoting the research and application of blockchain technology. He believes the two acts should work together to provide a comprehensive legal foundation for the industry.
