Techub News reports that the Hyper Foundation posted on the X platform, proposing that validators vote to formally confirm that the aid fund HYPE has been burned and that these tokens are permanently removed from circulation and the total supply. The aid fund automatically converts transaction fees into HYPE during L1 execution in a fully automated manner. Similar to a zero address, the aid fund's system address has never possessed a private key to control its funds. Unless a hard fork is performed, the funds are mathematically irretrievable. Since these tokens already exist in a system address without a private key, no on-chain operations are required. This vote constitutes a binding social consensus that no protocol upgrade will ever be authorized to access this address. Furthermore, on-chain data shows that the Hyperliquid aid fund holds 37.114 million HYPE, approximately $1.02 billion, accounting for about 13.7% of the current circulating supply.
