An Israeli Air Force major is accused of using confidential information to place bets on Polymarket.

Techub News reported, according to The Times of Israel, that a court in Tel Aviv, Israel, revealed on Thursday that an Israeli Air Force reserve officer is suspected of using classified information to place bets on last year's Israel-Iran war on Polymarket.

The defendant, a former Air Force major, was indicted last month along with his alleged accomplice on charges including severe security offenses, bribery, and obstruction of justice. He is alleged to have placed bets on the timing of Israel's initial airstrike in June 2025, which triggered a 12-day war. According to the indictment, the reservist learned about the operation during a confidential briefing on June 13, the day before it commenced, and subsequently informed his accomplice about the impending attack. The two allegedly profited $162,663 from winning the bet and agreed to split the money equally.
