Tether Investments strategically invests in LayerZero Labs, advancing blockchain interoperability infrastructure

Techub News reports that Tether Investments has made a strategic investment in LayerZero Labs. LayerZero Labs is the developer of a cross-chain interoperability protocol, whose technology is widely used to support cross-chain value transfers within the global digital asset ecosystem. This investment aims to assist LayerZero in further developing efficient and secure cross-chain technologies. LayerZero's technology already supports the cross-chain transfer of assets such as USDt₀ and XAUt₀. Among these, USDt₀ has achieved over $70 billion in cross-chain transfer volume in less than 12 months, validating its interoperability capabilities at a global scale. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that LayerZero's technology provides crucial support for real-time cross-chain transfers of digital assets, particularly suitable for micropayment scenarios within the AI agent economy.
