Techub News, according to Fortune, Coinbase and Mastercard are in advanced talks to acquire London-based stablecoin infrastructure company BVNK, with the price range around $1.5 billion to $2.5 billion. Currently, Coinbase holds a stronger position, but the deal has not been finalized yet. If reached, it would become the largest stablecoin M&A deal to date.
BVNK was founded in 2021, providing businesses with services such as stablecoin trading, cross-border payments, and fund management. In December 2024, it secured $50 million in funding, with a valuation of approximately $750 million. Investors include Haun Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Tiger Global, and recently, venture capital from Visa and Citi participated.
