Polymarket denies data breach, says on-chain data public nature is not a security vulnerability

Techub News reports that Polymarket, a prediction market platform, posted on X Platform, denying any "data breach." Polymarket stated that all transaction and position data on the platform is on-chain data, which is inherently public and auditable — a core feature of blockchain technology, not a security vulnerability.

Polymarket further clarified that any user or developer can access this data for free through its public API or directly on the blockchain, with no additional fees required. Earlier, there were rumors that some third-party platforms were selling so-called "leaked Polymarket data." This official response aims to emphasize the transparency of decentralized prediction markets and remind users to identify misleading information.
