Techub News reports that Wu Jiezhuang shared his thoughts on being re-elected as a member of the Eighth Legislative Council of Hong Kong, stating, "Moving forward in the council, I will continue to promote the development of Web3 in Hong Kong and assist the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government in advancing cutting-edge future industries, including embodied AI, quantum computing, and space technology, to solidify the unique positioning granted to Hong Kong by the nation as an international innovation and technology hub."
Additionally, Wu Jiezhuang responded to questions regarding the future direction of stablecoins and the development of RWA. He stated, "There will be no major changes in the development of Hong Kong's stablecoins; progress will continue steadily"; "RWA is currently a widely discussed topic in both traditional and Web3 industries. Hong Kong has already promoted regulatory sandboxes, and it is believed that within these sandboxes, the importance of compliant development and the direction of future regulation will be explored. I believe different industries can boldly experiment with integrating Web3 technology, which I am confident will drive the development of numerous real-world applications." Regarding how to address the rapid increase in developer demand, Wu Jiezhuang stated that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has been actively promoting the development of the Northern Metropolis and the Lok Ma Chau Loop Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Park. In addition to attracting enterprises to establish a presence, this will also drive talent acquisition. An increasing number of enterprises, such as Web3 public chains, compliant exchanges, and underlying infrastructure providers, are setting up operations in Hong Kong. The success of developers and innovation and technology enterprises is inseparable. In the future, efforts will be made to assist the industry in building a talent ecosystem and encourage more developers and professionals to settle in Hong Kong.
