Sony Bank and JPYC have reached a strategic cooperation, allowing users to directly purchase the yen stablecoin from their bank accounts.

Techub News reported, according to NADA News, that JPY stablecoin issuer JPYC announced the signing of a basic agreement for a strategic business partnership with Sony Bank, with Sony Bank's Web3 business subsidiary BlockBloom also participating in the collaboration. Both parties aim to build a seamless mechanism connecting banking infrastructure, stablecoins, and the entertainment sector. They are currently exploring the implementation of real-time account transfer functionality on the "JPYC EX" platform provided by JPYC, allowing users to purchase JPYC directly from their Sony Bank accounts without additional transfer steps. Furthermore, both sides will explore collaborations with entertainment IPs such as music and games, with the goal of creating new experiences that integrate payments and fan interaction.
