Brazil passes a series of reform bills that allow seized cryptocurrencies to be converted into public security funds.

Techub News reports, according to CoinDesk, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has signed a series of comprehensive reform bills aimed at dismantling organized crime, with cryptocurrency being central to the strategy. Under Law No. 15.358, confiscated crypto assets from criminal organizations can be injected into Brazil's public security system, a fund that includes expenses for police equipment, intelligence operations, and officer training. The law explicitly allows for the provisional use of these resources before a final conviction, subject to judicial approval.
