Ghana plans to introduce cryptocurrency regulatory laws by the end of the year

Techub News, according to Bloomberg, Ghana's central bank governor Johnson Asiama said on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings in Washington on Thursday that Ghana expects to introduce a law regulating cryptocurrency and virtual assets by the end of December. Asiama said: "This is an important area, and we must strengthen regulation and monitor these transactions. We have prepared the regulatory framework and introduced a new bill to regulate virtual assets. The bill has been submitted to parliament and is expected to be passed by the end of December, at which point we will be able to regulate cryptocurrency in Ghana."
