The Argentine Ministry of Justice has ordered a complete blockade of the prediction market platform Polymarket.

Techub News reports, according to CriptoNoticias, Argentine judicial authorities have ordered an immediate and comprehensive block of the prediction market platform Polymarket. The ban applies nationwide in Argentina and instructs Google and Apple to remove the platform's mobile applications from the Android and iOS app stores. The ruling stems from a complaint filed by the Buenos Aires City Lottery agency, alleging that Polymarket operates an unauthorized online gambling system under the guise of a "prediction market." Prosecutors pointed out that the platform operates without a license in Argentina, accepts cryptocurrency and credit card payments, does not require identity or age verification, allows account creation within minutes, and significantly increases user risks, including the participation of minors in gambling. Argentina has become the second Latin American country, after Colombia, to impose comprehensive restrictions on the platform.
