Techub News reports, according to Decrypt, Denmark's Danske Bank has officially begun offering Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded product (ETP) investment services to its e-banking and mobile banking users, ending an eight-year ban on cryptocurrency services. Kerstin Lysholm, Head of Investment Products & Services at the bank, stated that this decision stems from sustained growth in client demand and benefits from improvements in the regulatory environment in recent years, particularly the implementation of the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. Despite opening up to related products, Danske Bank has clearly stated that it does not recommend cryptocurrencies as an asset class, positioning them as "speculative investments" rather than long-term investment options. According to Triple-A data, as of 2024, Denmark has approximately 70,605 cryptocurrency holders, accounting for about 1.2% of the population; Chainalysis's 2025 Geography of Cryptocurrency Report shows that Denmark ranks 84th out of 151 countries in terms of cryptocurrency adoption.
