Cboe Considers Launching VIX Perpetual Futures, Awaiting Regulatory Clarity in the U.S.

Techub News reports that Cboe Global Markets is considering launching perpetual futures based on the Cboe Volatility Index (VIX). Rob Hocking, Cboe's Global Head of Derivatives, stated that perpetual futures could provide a solution to directly trade the VIX spot level, but the company will wait for further clarity on the regulatory framework for perpetual futures from U.S. regulators before proceeding.
