Techub News, according to Hong Kong media HK01, Hong Kong's Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Christopher Hui, stated that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority has been maintaining close communication with the Digital Currency Institute of the People's Bank of China and the subsidiary banks of mainland operating institutions in Hong Kong. The number of local Hong Kong retail outlets accepting digital yuan is gradually increasing. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority will continue to cooperate with the People's Bank of China to promote the cross-border pilot process of digital yuan in Hong Kong. Currently, arrangements and feasibility for upgrading the digital currency wallet are being explored to increase its usage limits, and specific implementation plans and timelines will be finalized.
