Informed sources: Cantor Fitzgerald spent over $600 million to purchase Tether convertible bonds

Techub News, according to Bloomberg citing informed sources, Wall Street investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald purchased over $6 billion in Tether's convertible bonds more than a year ago, acquiring a 5% equity stake. If Tether raises approximately $150 billion at a $500 billion valuation, the investment bank's stake in Tether could be worth up to $25 billion. It remains unclear what valuation the transaction might achieve, or whether the bank will be permitted to convert the bonds into equity and sell part of its holdings to new investors.
