Aptos Foundation and Labs invest $50 million to support AI ecosystem development

Techub News, according to crypto.news, Aptos Foundation and Aptos Labs announced an investment of over $50 million for ecosystem development. The funds will be used to support trading, AI agents, research, and protocol infrastructure, with a focus on the Decibel trading platform and the Shelby data storage protocol.

The initiative focuses on building on-chain infrastructure that supports autonomous trading by AI agents, leveraging fast settlement and low-cost advantages to achieve machine-speed trading. To date, Decibel's cumulative trading volume has exceeded $1 billion, and the market capitalization of stablecoins on the Aptos chain has grown nearly tenfold since the end of 2024, reaching a peak of $1.93 billion.
