U.S. Treasury Sanctions 10 Entities Linked to Iranian Military

Techub News reports that, according to CryptoBriefing, the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has announced sanctions against 10 individuals and entities, accusing them of assisting the Iranian military in procuring weapons components and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) parts. This action is part of "Operation Economic Fury," which has resulted in over 1,000 Iran-related sanctions since February 2025.

The sanctioned targets include entities providing procurement networks for Iran's Ministry of Defense, the Aerospace Industries Organization, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), involving regions in the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the Treasury Department will "relentlessly" continue to crack down on Iran's weapons proliferation network. OFAC requires compliant crypto platforms to block relevant wallet addresses and report transactions, or face risks of enforcement actions and fines.
