Techub News, Vitalik Buterin posted on X platform stating that DeFi remains a core component of Ethereum's value, and the Ethereum Foundation (EF) will focus on supporting permissionless, open-source, privacy-preserving, and security-first global financial infrastructure. EF's areas of focus include enhancing security through audits, standards, and wallet protection, introducing AI-assisted formal verification and user agent protection, strengthening oracle security and decentralization, promoting scenarios such as privacy payments and privacy CDP, and improving open-source licensing and forkability. EF stated that it will not indiscriminately support all "onchain finance" and will only collaborate with DeFi projects committed to reducing centralized trust and enhancing user asset control and risk management capabilities to build the ecosystem.
