Techub News, according to Cointelegraph, cross-border payment giant Western Union has partnered with infrastructure provider Crossmint to support the issuance of its USDPT dollar stablecoin on the Solana blockchain and connect it to Western Union's global payment network. The collaboration will integrate Crossmint's wallet and payment APIs with Western Union's infrastructure, allowing fintech platforms to transfer funds using the stablecoin and convert digital dollars into local fiat currency through Western Union's over 360,000 cash withdrawal points. Previously in October 2025, Western Union had announced plans to launch the Solana-based USDPT stablecoin in 2026.
