NEAR Intents Head Proposes Three Survival Rules for Crypto Wallets

Techub News reports that Alex Shevchenko, head of NEAR Intents, has proposed three survival rules for cryptocurrency wallet developers in response to the recent massive Binance theft incident. Shevchenko believes that if wallet services focus only on finding the best exchange rates for users, they may inadvertently become accomplices to cybercrime. The three rules he put forward include: anti-money laundering capability (real-time identification and isolation of hacker-marked assets), slippage and refund control (ensuring execution prices match quotes and having a secure refund mechanism in case of transaction failure), and infrastructure stability (maintaining uninterrupted operation of the exchange system under extreme network load and emergency market lockdowns). Shevchenko points out that because a single exchange transaction often involves multiple protocols such as aggregators, cross-chain bridges, and multiple liquidity pools, responsibility is diluted. If any segment on-chain handles tainted funds, the wallet initiating the transaction will collectively bear reputational damage and even legal risks. Therefore, due diligence on integrated partners is shifting from an optional step to a core product requirement. (U.Today)
