ZachXBT: World token mechanics are just as egregious as FTX

Techub News, ZachXBT posted on X platform, severely criticizing the World (formerly Worldcoin) project under Altman and its token WLD. ZachXBT stated bluntly that the token model of WLD, which is "predatory" in the early stages of launch with extremely low circulation, is on par with the misconduct of SBF and his collapsed exchange FTX.

ZachXBT pointed out that the World project obtains users' biometric data by giving small amounts of $WLD tokens to people in low-income countries, which essentially amounts to "scamming" privacy. Although the technology claims to prove "human identity," the actual result has fostered an underground black market for verified accounts. Additionally, he criticized that the token's supply is expanding at an unsustainable rate, while insiders regularly cash out through over-the-counter (OTC) transactions. Previously, Musk has also repeatedly publicly criticized Altman's projects, arguing that they have serious flaws in ethics and business models.
