Ethereum Foundation Initiates Verification Cost Challenge to Collect Upper Bound Proofs for Block Verification Workload

Techub News reports that the Ethereum Foundation announced on the X platform the launch of a public challenge named "Verification Cost Challenge." The goal is to find a mathematically provable upper bound on the maximum workload required for Ethereum block verification. This challenge aims to ensure that regardless of block content, the verification process remains low-cost, predictable, and can be completed on ordinary hardware. The challenge is based on the Yukon platform and is developed in collaboration with zkSecurity, Veritylab, and Yukon Research. (@ethereumfndn)
