Distributed Lab is a software engineering company renowned for its specialized expertise in Bitcoin, cryptography, and smart contracts. This acquisition will enhance Blockstream's position in the consumer, enterprise, and institutional user sectors by expanding the team, product roadmap, and partner network. The agreement includes adding Distributed Lab's proprietary software modules, developer tools, and intellectual property to Blockstream's platforms, which include Blockstream applications, Jade hardware wallet, Liquid Network services, tokenization, Simplicity, and enterprise custody solutions. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks.
