Techub News reported that CME Group announced the launch of spot-quoted XRP and SOL futures contracts, supplementing its existing spot-quoted Bitcoin and Ethereum futures products. CME stated that this type of contract is priced based on spot prices and features longer expiration dates, which can reduce the need for frequent rollovers. The contract size is the smallest specification within its cryptocurrency product line, targeting a broader range of retail and professional traders. CME disclosed that since their launch in June, the cumulative trading volume of spot-quoted Bitcoin and Ethereum futures has exceeded 1.3 million contracts, with demand continuing to grow.
