Google launches Googlebook notebook, deeply integrated with Gemini AI

Techub News, according to cryptobriefing.com, Google has launched a new Googlebook laptop category, built around Gemini AI, combining the Android app ecosystem with the ChromeOS browser foundation. The first devices will be launched this fall by Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

Core features include the Magic Pointer cursor AI tool, developed in collaboration with Google DeepMind, which provides users with contextual intelligent suggestions; the Create your Widget feature supports creating custom desktop widgets via prompts. The device also supports deep Android phone integration, allowing users to directly access phone apps and files on the laptop. This marks Google's transition from traditional operating systems to "intelligent systems," officially entering the AI PC arena, competing with Microsoft's Copilot Plus PC and Apple's Apple Intelligence.
