Ethereum futures trading volume surpasses Bitcoin for the first time on CME

Techub News reports, according to Markets.com, Ethereum futures trading volume has surpassed Bitcoin for the first time on the CME, sparking market speculation that Ethereum is about to enter a super cycle. Priyanka Jain, Director of Equity and Crypto Products at CME, pointed out that Ethereum option volatility is currently higher than Bitcoin's, which instead attracts more traders to enter the market, boosting futures activity. In July this year, Ethereum futures open interest also exceeded Bitcoin for the first time. Although Bitcoin still holds an advantage in USD trading volume, Ethereum derivatives participation is accelerating.
