Speaker of the Iranian Parliament: Iran needs to use cryptocurrency to achieve its digital economy goals

Techub News: According to CryptoPolitan, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated at a blockchain event last week that Iran will not be able to achieve its digital economy goals unless it embraces cryptocurrency. Ghalibaf described formulating a national roadmap for crypto assets as an "immediate priority." He referenced the target set in Iran's latest National Development Plan, which aims for the digital economy to account for 10% of the economy, and noted that this goal cannot be achieved without adopting cryptocurrency. Ghalibaf urged the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank, and other government agencies to collaborate in ensuring regulated development in this sector.
