Techub News, according to Cointelegraph, CME Group has announced the launch of Bitcoin volatility futures contracts, which will operate under the U.S. regulated futures framework, distinguishing them from existing crypto-native volatility products. The group plans to transition cryptocurrency futures and options trading to a 24/7 model starting May 29, aligning with the round-the-clock trading nature of digital assets. CME previously launched cash-settled Bitcoin futures in 2017, and its current product line includes Bitcoin options, micro Bitcoin contracts, and Ethereum derivatives.
