Coinbase partners with Apex Group to launch tokenized version of its Bitcoin yield fund

Techub News reports, according to CoinDesk, Coinbase Asset Management announced a partnership with fund services provider Apex Group to launch a tokenized share class of its Bitcoin Yield Fund on Base. The fund is managed by Coinbase, with Apex continuing to serve as transfer agent, maintaining records synchronized with the fund's net asset value. The tokenized shares utilize the ERC-3643 token standard, encoding investor checks directly into the token, allowing only verified investors to hold or transfer the assets, thereby replacing manual compliance checks with automated rules. The fund is currently available to non-U.S. investors, and Coinbase plans to launch a tokenized version for U.S. investors in the future.
