Musk will launch end-to-end encrypted communication application X Chat

Techub News, Musk stated on the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast that an end-to-end encrypted standalone communication application, X Chat, will be launched to compete with Telegram and WhatsApp, among others. It is expected to be released in the coming months. Originally an integrated application within X, Musk mentioned during the podcast that the development team has refactored the app and will release it as a standalone application. Musk noted that while WhatsApp also claims to use end-to-end encryption, it retains metadata, allowing advertisers to accurately understand user behavior. In contrast, X Chat employs "peer-to-peer encryption technology similar to Bitcoin" and will not leave any information that advertisers can exploit.
