Coinbase CEO goes to Senate to support cryptocurrency market regulation bill

Techub News, according to CryptoBriefing, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong will testify before the U.S. Senate to advocate for the passage of a cryptocurrency market structure bill, aiming to establish a formal regulatory framework for digital assets. Armstrong previously opposed the draft bill, arguing that it granted too much power to banks and harmed the interests of 52 million U.S. crypto users. His current expression of support may indicate that relevant provisions have been revised. The legislation would clarify the regulatory authority boundaries between the SEC and the CFTC, and set standards for exchange registration and consumer protection.
