Guizhou Qiannan Cyber Police Crack Online Pyramid Selling Case Involving "Virtual Currency", Arrest 15 Suspects

Techub News reports, according to the Ministry of Public Security's Cybersecurity Bureau, the cybersecurity and economic investigation departments in Qiannan, Guizhou, jointly cracked a network pyramid scheme case involving "virtual currency." The special task force dispatched teams to multiple locations and apprehended 15 criminal suspects. The investigation revealed that the organization promoted the slogan "everything of value in the world can be tokenized," established an unregistered "virtual currency" trading platform, and set up a multi-level hierarchy system. Members participated by recharging and pledging funds, profiting through methods like developing downlines to receive direct referral rewards. The organization's hierarchy exceeded three levels, involving thousands of participants. Currently, the relevant individuals involved in the case have been dealt with according to the law.
