On the afternoon of November 26, a fire broke out in multiple residential buildings at Hong Fu Court, Tai Po Estate, Hong Kong's New Territories, resulting in significant casualties. According to the latest data released by the Hong Kong Fire Services Department, the fire has caused at least 128 fatalities and 79 injuries.
The disaster has touched people's hearts. As companions in the Web3 industry, we firmly believe in technology for good and understand the power of mutual support. Therefore, we urgently launched a donation initiative on November 27, calling on everyone to lend a helping hand and show love and support for our compatriots in Hong Kong.
To ensure that the donations can be delivered quickly and accurately, we have entrusted all funds raised to the Hong Kong Youth Student Motivation Fund, a Hong Kong charitable organization, for donation and local implementation of relief efforts. The entire process is open and transparent, ensuring that every act of kindness is duly recognized. This fundraising effort will be used to assist affected families and support those impacted by the fire.
